We use a sliding-scale tuition model:

• Community Rate: $400

• Sustaining Rate: $1,200

• Institutional Rate: $2,500

Choose the rate that reflects your organization's capacity and resources (full rate is $2,500).

A limited number of full scholarships are also available (interest can be expressed in the application).

The Collective Resourcing Cohort is not simply a learning cohort. It’s a space to learn, experiment, build relationships, and take action together.

Over five months, participants will:

• Learn and experiment together — exploring new ways of thinking about and practicing collective resourcing.

• Build relationships across sectors — connecting with people whose experiences, perspectives, and resources may be different from your own.

• Examine power and resource flows — asking who has access to resources, who makes decisions about them, and what keeps resources moving—or not moving—the way they do today.

• Practice collective resourcing — sharing knowledge, relationships, ideas, opportunities, and resources when appropriate.

• Challenge traditional approaches — moving beyond competition and transactional approaches to fundraising and resource mobilization.

• Navigate difference together — practicing curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and trust across different perspectives and lived experiences.

• Develop collective strategies — working together to imagine and test new approaches to mobilizing and moving resources across San Diego.

• Contribute to a collective project — participating in the development of a community-led ballot/resource-mobilization initiative.

• Make time between sessions — dedicating approximately 2–3 hours per month outside of scheduled cohort sessions for reflection, collaboration, and action.Practical frameworks with applied exercises

This is a practice space, not a classroom. You won't be coming simply to receive information or complete a curriculum. You'll be invited to bring your experience, relationships, questions, imagination, and resources—and to learn through experimentation with others.

Participants should be prepared to:

• Attend required in-person sessions in San Diego.

• Dedicate approximately 2–3 hours per month outside of cohort sessions.

• Participate actively in discussions, experiments, and collaborative work.

• Engage with people outside of their own sector, organization, or usual networks.

• Share knowledge, relationships, and/or resources when appropriate.

• Contribute to the collective ballot/resource-mobilization project.

• Approach the work with curiosity, generosity, accountability, and a willingness to try something different.

We don't expect you to have all the answers. We are looking for people who are willing to ask better questions, experiment, build trust, and imagine what might be possible together.

We're looking for people who are curious, connected to community, willing to question how things work, and ready to build something collectively. Our application is less about what you've accomplished and more about how you see systems, power, and possibility.
